Plan de acción 2014-2016 * A sustained renewal and expansion of the product line-up - The Renault group is going to accelerate the renewal and expansion of its product line-up starting in the fall of 2014 with the launch of an all-new Twingo and Trafic van. These will be followed by the successors of Espace, Megane, Scenic and a new D sedan which will all share the new alliance 3 million CMF C-D platform. - Simultaneously, the group is going to extend its market coverage with a complete line-up of cross-over vehicles, an A-entry vehicle designed for India and South America as well as new pick-up trucks for emerging markets. * International expansion and renewed growth in Europe - Following a successful first phase, the group is aiming at capturing more than 8% market share in Brazil and Russia and 5% in India. - China will become a top priority in the coming years with the construction of a new plant in Wuhan with an initial capacity of 150,000 units, designed to produce C and D segment cross-overs. - In Europe, Renault is aiming at recapturing second place among the mass-market brands with a renewed line-up of connected, user-friendly and environmentally responsible vehicles. At the same time, the Dacia brand will sustain its undisputed leadership in its category. * Improved competitiveness - The Renault group will enjoy the benefits of scale and improved competitiveness as a result of sharing alliance platforms and modules (CMF) on which more than 80% of future vehicles will be based. Standardized modules will account for two thirds of the value of future vehicles, up from one third today. - The localization of parts and components will increase in order to make better use of the company’s global manufacturing footprint and contain costs. - During the period, the company will also benefit from the effects of the competitiveness plans signed in France and Spain as well as manufacturing vehicles for partners. - By completion of the plan, the group will reach a capacity utilization rate of 100% in Europe (based on 2 shifts/day standard definition). * Alliance synergies - Increase synergies from the Alliance will contribute to improving Renault’s profitability. The convergence projects recently announced in purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain, and human resources will generate a minimum of € 4.3 billion by the end of 2016. * Cost containment - The strategy of sharing costs across the Alliance and with partners will allow Renault to sustain a high level of upstream development, while maintaining a ratio of R&D and CAPEX below 9% of group turnover. http://media.renault.com/global/en-g...?mediaid=54887 |

Renault presenta el nuevo 1.6 energydci Twinturbo - 1.598cc, 160cv y 380Nm - Rebaja el concumo en un 25% - Comon rail a 1800bares - Euro6 Nota de prensa en inglés New 1.6-litre Energy dCi 160 Twin Turbo engine: the feel of a 2-litre engine, plus a 25% fuel-consumption saving RENAULT, engine manufacturer par excellence, rises to the challenge of energy efficiency in 2014. As a successful engine maker in the world of F1, Renault makes full use of its experience by continuously refining the energy efficiency of its road car engines to deliver even greater driving enjoyment. The latest fruit of the firm’s downsizing strategy is the Energy dCi 160 Twin Turbo, the first 1.6-litre diesel powerplant to benefit from twin-turbocharging. This 1,598cc block delivers 160hp and a generous 380Nm of torque, which catapults it into the domain of 2-litre engines in terms of performance. This important breakthrough combines with fuel consumption and CO2 emissions savings of 25%. Improved performance courtesy of twin-turbocharging expertise The use of ‘Twin Turbo’ technology for this diesel engine ensures a blend of low-end torque and high power at higher revs, the obvious knock-on effect of which is enhanced driving enjoyment. The system comprises two sequential turbo-compressors:
The engine always works within its range of optimum efficiency, which naturally yields benefits in terms of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. A hi-tech unit boasting technology borne out of Renault’s F1 expertise This expertise in the field of sophisticated turbochargers is not the only link between the 1.6-litre Renault Energy F1 Power Unit and the Energy dCi 160 Twin Turbo block which takes advantage of a number of technologies borne out of Renault’s know how in F1, notably in terms of cooling and friction reduction:
By dint of its efficiency, this engine is comfortably capable of powering larger vehicles, and will notably be available for Renault’s forthcoming D- and E-segment models. http://media.renault.com/global/en-g...?mediaid=55061 |

What’s the best way to solve the NOx emission problem for Euro 6? “ At this moment we’re working on three directions: selective catalytic reduction (SCR), NOx traps and nothing. We’re sure it’s possible to reach Euro 6 without SCR or a NOx trap but we plan to use the former for big vehicles and the latter mainly for smaller cars. After that, it depends on the market and our competitors. And there is also the NO2 debate. But we will be ready with the three solutions. http://ae-plus.com/qanda/renaults-po...lippe-oursaire http://www.pole-moveo.org/pdf-projets-das/Atmo-A.pdf
