We’re contacting you regarding some service degradation Coinbase experienced on 12 October 2021, from 2:00am PT to 7:30am PT. During this time, a small number of transactions including buys, sales, deposits, withdrawals, and crypto trades were stuck in a pending state.

We have worked diligently to finalize these transactions. For purchases and deposits, this means the transaction will either cancel and return funds to your payment method, or it will succeed and the funds or cryptocurrency will credit to your Coinbase account at the locked-in price at which you purchased.

For trades, this means the trade will either be completed based on the agreed upon exchange rate, or the trade will cancel (most often as a result of a change in the value of the crypto being traded).

For card withdrawals, this means the transaction will either cancel and return funds to your Coinbase account, or succeed and credit to your bank account.

Please note, if you dispute the transaction with Paypal or your bank while we’re completing this work, this could cause restrictions for purchasing crypto and depositing fiat (USD, EUR, GBP) on your Coinbase account.
