April 6th, at La Défense (Paris) Magnetti Marelli announced the new version of the RT3 system named RT3 EV[/font]

It will be available in 2 versions :

A High end version with:

· Embedeed 3D chipset
· “Radio Diversity” system with 3 tuners (3 ? Why 3? for better TMC reception?)
· 13GB hard disk (for european cartography and mp3)
· Color LCD screen 6,5” or 7“
· 3D cartography display
· USB connection
· Speech synthetis and automatic recognition
· Emergency call
· TMC
· GSM/GPRS phone set (no 3G?, no bluetooth? Do we still need twins SIM?)
· Rear screens output (I suppose this is related to a DVD player)

But nothing about audio specifications, DVD player (MPEG2, DivX..)...

And a low end one:

· Embedeed 2D chipset
· bi-tuner radio system
· Color LCD screen 6,5” or 7“
· Double SD memory card reader
· 3D cartography "bird view" (With a 2D chipset ?)
· USB connection
· Bluetooth (and not in the high-end version ???)

RT3 EV should be available end 2006 in 207, 407, C4, PicassoII (but nothing announced for EV2
